Next Step — Order Your Springs at Accuspring

Once you have your IPPT and turn count above, head to accuspring.com → Springs by IPPT to find the correct spring. Enter the Per Spring IPPT value, your turn count, select the spring ID size (2.625″, 3.75″, etc.), and set cycle count to 10,000–15,000 cycles. Accuspring will return the correct spring specification for your install.

Use High Cycle Springs

This system typically calculates 11–12 turns for 7–8 ft doors. Specify high cycle springs when ordering — they give you the extra cycle life headroom to add a turn or two during fine tuning without compromising longevity. A standard spring pushed to its limit has no adjustment reserve. A high cycle spring does.

Dual Spring Setup — Standard on All Installs

This system uses two torsion springs — one on each side of the center plate. The Total IPPT above is the combined requirement. Order springs rated at the Per Spring IPPT value. Apply equal turns to both springs during installation. Use the install manual for spring tensioning procedure.
