About
Moenave.
"I've always looked at doors from the inside. How they move. How they interact with the structure of your home. How they feel day after day."
My name is Shelby Meinkey. I've spent over twenty years inside the garage door industry — as an installer, a salesman, a manager, and everything in between. I know how these systems are sold, how they're built, how they fail, and what gets ignored.
That kind of time in one trade gives you a particular view of things. After twenty years of watching the same one-size-fits-all solutions get installed over and over, I wanted to build something different. Moenave is that something different.
"There's a real gap between what's always been done and what's actually possible. This product fills that gap — not by cutting corners to compete on price, but by rethinking the problem from the ground up."Shelby Meinkey — Founder, Moenave Garage Doors
The principles
we build on.
Most people think about garage doors from the outside — how they look on the curb. We look at them from the inside. How they move, how they interact with the structure of your home, how they perform under daily use for years. The details that get overlooked are usually the ones that matter most.
Every kit is built to order. Every project is confirmed before fabrication begins. We don't move fast and fix things later — we get the specifications right the first time and build accordingly. A door you'll use every day deserves that kind of attention.
The overhead track system has been the default for decades — not because it's the best solution, but because it's the established one. We built the trackless pivot system because the better answer existed and nobody had built it yet. Convenience isn't a good enough reason to stop there.
When you reach out to Moenave, you're reaching out to me. Not a sales team, not a call center. I review every inquiry, configure every kit, and stand behind every installation. That's not a marketing line — it's how the business actually runs.
No hinges. No rollers. No track to wear out. The trackless pivot system was designed with fewer failure points from the start — not because it's cheaper to build that way, but because a door you use twice a day should still be performing a decade from now without a service call.
This system isn't the right fit for every project, and we'll tell you that directly. If your opening doesn't work, if your panels aren't compatible, if a traditional door is genuinely the better choice for your situation — we'll say so. Honest advice is worth more than a sale that doesn't serve you.
Twenty years in the garage door industry — as an installer, salesman, manager, and fabricator. That range of experience is what made it possible to design a system that works in practice, not just on paper.
Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can in the desert. Geology, rivers, hiking, riding, running — the kind of life that keeps you paying attention. The same philosophy applies everywhere: look closer, move thoughtfully, and don't settle for what's merely convenient.
That's what Moenave is built on.
"If you're the kind of person who wants a door that works with your home rather than just hanging on it, we should talk."
