Trackless Pivot Door Hardware Kit
Our Patent Pending Trackless Pivot Door Hardware Kit allows you to transform standard sectional garage door panels into a modern, one-piece pivot door using our engineered hardware system. This kit provides the critical components needed to achieve a clean, trackless installation with smooth operation and integrated automation.
These kits are designed to work with most modern triple layer garage doors ranging from 1.5” to 2.5” thick.
What’s Included
Complete installation instructions
Door ends, linkages, tie rods, pivot plates, and guide assemblies to convert sectional panels into a single door leaf
Center vertical support L-angles
Addressable LED light bars (double doors receive two light bars)
LED controller, wiring harness, power supply, and enclosure
LiftMaster 98022 wall-mount opener with motor mount, remote, motion wall station, and photo eyes
Powder-coated black hardware (standard finish)
Side weather sealing system (brush seal and wiper seal)
Drums, cables, bearing plates, pillow blocks, and solid keys
Miscellaneous installation hardware (nuts, bolts, fasteners)
Items You Will Need to Source Locally
You will need to purchase and coordinate installation of the following through a local garage door dealer:
Garage door sections (Panels need to be solid triple layer doors, 1.5-2.5” thick)
Keyed solid shaft, springs, and center coupler
Bottom astragal and retainer (bottom weather seal)
We will help you configure the correct springs, just let us know total door weight with sections and struts.
Specifications
Maximum door weight: 500 lbs
Maximum width: 18 ft
Maximum height: 10 ft
11” headspace required above door opening to fit springs and allow door to articulate up.
Larger sizes and weights coming soon.
Opening Requirements
It’s important to understand the the door sections have to be smaller than the opening width to allow the door to swing out. You’ll need to order special sections, or cut sections down to fit a standard opening size.
Opening Width:
Before you can determine how wide door sections need to be, You need to know what the final opening width will be once all exterior components are installed.
The finished opening width should be 2.5 inches wider than the door section width.
With all hardware installed, This allows approximately 1 inch clearance between the door and jamb on each side after all hardware is installed.
Opening Height:
Final opening height should be ½ -1 inch shorter than the door sections height. Pivot hardware is field-adjustable if variation exceeds 1 inch to achieve small adjustments easily to allow door to fully open horizontally.
Example: If you want to use 16’0” x 8’0” standard door sections, you’ll want the final opening to be finished at 16’ 2.5” x 7’ 11”
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this work with an arched opening?
Because the door sits within the opening, an arch will limit how high the door can fully open. Square openings are strongly recommended for full functionality.
Is this a universal kit?
No. Each hardware kit is built to order based on your project specifications.
How much does the door protrude outside?
When the door is fully open, it will sit inside roughly ½ the door height. IE 8’ tall door sits inside 4 ft and outside 4 ft.
Can I purchase just the hardware kit with no motor or lights?
We will have individual components available to purchase by themselves soon, for now its a complete kit.
